How do I take the print? (APPLIES TO ALL)
When you purchase one of our products, you will receive a kit. This includes molding materials (which allow you to take up to two molds) and a step by step instruction guide. Please follow the instructions carefully when making the impression/print. Should you not be satisfied with the moulds/impressions produced, we will charge a fee of £20 for the supply and postage of any subsequent kits. If your child is young and fidgety, you may want to take the impression when they are sleeping!
What if I am not happy with any of the molds I make?
If you are not happy with any of the molds you produce from the kit, we can send out a replacement kit, if you are not happy with the second kit, there will be a charge of £20 for the 3rd kit.
How old does my child have to be to have the impression taken?
We can create fingerprint jewellery from anyone of any age, ranging from newborn to old age! The older the child, the better the fingerprint. While babies younger than eight months old have less definition in their prints, we would still be able to produce a lovely little dimple of your baby's finger, which is unique to your child. If your child is less than 2 years old, we would suggest you take two impressions of the fingertip and one impression of the whole little finger, when taking prints.
Hand and footprint's can be made from birth.
Fingerprints
Every finger print is different. For babies less than eight months old, the finger print may be less developed than that of an older child. We have developed a method of taking prints from babies less than 8 months, which enables us to get the best possible outcome from the moulds. When you order on-line or over the phone, full instructions will be given on how to take the perfect fingerprint impression. We advise that this method is used on all children less than three, as well as the usual method, then we can select which impressions are best to work with. As fingerprints are unique and differ from person to person, some fingerprints in children older than eight months can also be less defined. Please ensure you are happy with the detail of your prints before returning to us.
Could I purchase more than one piece of jewellery with the same finger print?
